“We received a special invitation by the U.S. Ambassador to Spain and I am encouraged by the enthusiasm to visit our great state. We put our best foot forward as Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board Executive Director and Chef Samantha Carroll served Louisiana seafood dishes to highlight Louisiana’s culture, tourism, and cuisine,” said Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser.
The travel delegation as well as Lt. Governor Nungesser are wrapping up a European mission to attract international visitors to Louisiana. In 2023, international visitation showed the most significant gain, increasing 16.9% in 2023 with spending reaching $1.7 billion.
